The Internet has brought many unique benefits to marketing including low costs in distributing information and media to a global audience. The interactive nature of Internet marketing, both in terms of instant response, and in eliciting response, are unique qualities of the medium.
Internet marketing ties together creative and technical aspects of the internet, including design, development, advertising and sales. Internet marketing methods include article marketing, search engine marketing, email marketing, affiliate marketing, blog marketing, viral marketing, video marketing, domain marketing, the list is endless and goes on and on.
I will dicuss the most prominent and effect types as we move on but for now is there a broader more simple of what internet marketing is and how we use it to make money, which is obviously why most of us are interested in this phenomenom.
Internet marketing is the promoting and optimizing of a business or organization primarily using assets and processes on the internet. It does not simply mean creating a website or promoting a website. That is just the beginning. There a vast number of other criteria and projects involved in a complete internet marketing package. There are many strategies involved.
Internet marketing strategies include all the normal methods of promotion and marketing, advertising products, services, websites, blogs, again the list is infinite and not forgetting the more traditional offline methods including market research, direct sales and networking.
